Anil Sharma is best known for directing films like Apne and Veer.
The shooting of Genius will be wrapped up in December 2017 or January 2018, and the film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2018.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen next in Vishal Bhardwaj's small-budget comedy, where he will star opposite Aditi Rao Hydari, as per reports. He will also be seen in The Maya Tape and Nandita Das' Manto, where he plays the titular role.
In 2017 alone, he was part of seven films — Haraamkhor, Mom, Munna Michael, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, and Raees.
