Nawazuddin Siddiqui joins cast of Anil Sharma's Genius; film to release in summer 2018
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will star in Genius with Anil Sharma's son Utkarsh, who makes his debut with this film

Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who has a number of projects lined up, has also been signed up for Anil Sharma's upcoming film Genius. In May it was announced that this film will star Sharma's son Utkarsh, who made his debut as a child actor in his father's film Gadar: Ek Prem Katha; he played Sunny Deol's son. The film will be shot in North India, but it is not yet known what Siddiqui's role is.

Anil Sharma is best known for directing films like Apne and Veer.

The shooting of Genius will be wrapped up in December 2017 or January 2018, and the film is scheduled to release in the summer of 2018.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be seen next in Vishal Bhardwaj's small-budget comedy, where he will star opposite Aditi Rao Hydari, as per reports. He will also be seen in The Maya Tape and Nandita Das' Manto, where he plays the titular role.
In 2017 alone, he was part of seven films — Haraamkhor, Mom, Munna Michael, Babumoshai Bandookbaaz, and Raees.
