Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aditi Rao Hydari might be the final leads in Vishal Bhardwaj's next
Vishal Bhardwaj, who is best known for his Shakespearean adaptations such as Haider and Maqbool, seems to be taking a creative detour of late. It was recently announced that he will be working on Abbottabad, which is a remake of a book on Osama bin Laden and the Al-Qaeda. Now, he seems to have found the lead actors for another project.
Starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, this upcoming film is said to be a small-budget comedy. Kriti Sanon was reportedly supposed to star opposite the Gangs of Wasseypur actor, but now, Aditi Rao Hydari has been cast instead, reports DNA. It appears that things did not work out with the Raabta actress. "She [Hydari] is in advanced talks with the makers and is most likely to sign the dotted line soon," said a source speaking to the daily.
Previously, at the closing ceremony of the 8th Jagran Film Festival, Nawazuddin Siddiqui confirmed that he will be part of this project. "Yes, I am working with Vishalji, and it is a yet untitled project. I can't reveal much much details about it," said the actor.
This marks the first time that both Siddiqui and Hydari will be starring in a film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and the first time that they will be paired opposite each other.
