Haseena Parkar new poster: Shraddha Kapoor looks homely while surrounded by on-screen family

Most of the posters of Haseena Parkar released thus far feature lead actor Shraddha Kapoor wearing a fierce expression and steely exterior. This is why it is surprising to see her in a more mellow, homely avatar in the latest picture, where she can be seen sitting on a couch with her reel husband Ibrahim and four children.The stylists and makeup artists have created quite an iconic look for Kapoor, and she is instantly recognisable because of her hair covered in a dupatta or burkha and kohled eyes. Developing this look has reportedly required prosthetics, body suits and lots of plenty of makeup. In the recently released teaser of the film, Kapoor’s face is not revealed at all, save for one shot where she can be seen sitting on a chair, commanding awe and attention. This film chronicles the life and rise of gangster Dawood Ibrahim’s sister. Haseena Parkar had 28 legal cases filed against her in court, but she appeared only once. Apart from Shraddha Kapoor, this biopic also stars her brother Siddhanth Kapoor, Ankur Bhatia, Priyanka Setia, and Rajesh Tailang. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced by Nahid Khan, Haseena Parkar is slated to release on 18 August, after its release date was pushed from 28 July.
