Has Vishal Bhardwaj moved on from Irrfan-Deepika Padukone project to Churiyan with Sanya Malhotra?

Vishal Bhardwaj has cast Sanya Malhotra as the younger sibling in his next film titled Churiyan, a film that explores a female sibling rivalry, as reported by DNA. Image provided by GQ Best Dressed 2017[/caption] The same report states that Bhardwaj  had liked her performance in  Dangal  and right after the first meeting with her, he had decided that he would want her to be a part of the film. Sanya will play the younger sibling in the film. With Vishal rescheduling his Irrfan Khan-Deepika Padukone-starrer film, owing to the unfortunate illness of Irrfan, the director who had four other projects in pipeline, seems to have brought Churiyan ahead in his busy calendar. While Bhardwaj has reportedly zeroed in on Sanya to play the younger sibling, the elder sibling is yet to be cast. The same report states that from Vaani Kapoor to Sanya’s former co-star from Dangal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, were considered but the director has not confirmed the female lead yet. As previously reported it is said that he has been keen to work with Vaani Kapoor on one of his many upcoming projects. Vishal has liked Vaani’s work in both her films (Shuddh Desi Romance and Befikre) and feels she has a good screen presence. They have met and spoken about working together. Vishal has now expressed his interest in casting her in one of his next films. But he has not decided which film it would be yet.
