Aditya Roy Kapur likely to replace Sidharth Malhotra in sequel of Mohit Suri's Ek Villain

Mohit Suri’s romantic thriller Ek Villain was quite a big hit at the box office in 2014 and the makers are naturally considering making a sequel of the film. Ekta Kapoor and Mohit Suri will reportedly seal the deal soon for Ek Villain 2 and the lead character will be played by Aditya Roy Kapur. DNA reports that Mohit and Ekta had also approached Arjun Kapoor for the role but there has been no confirmation on the same. One thing that has been confirmed by the makers that they do not want to repeat the actors in the sequel. Thus, for the female lead, there is definitely no scope for Shraddha Kapoor. Aditya Roy Kapur, whose last film OK Jaanu was a clear disaster at the box office, is on the lookout for one perfect script that can bring his luck back. The actor is reportedly meeting longtime friend and Aashiqui 2 maker Mohit Suri regularly. On the work front, though there is not much happening for Aditya Roy Kapur, though he is speculated to star alongside Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt in Abhishek Varman’s cross border period romance Shiddat , produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
