'ABCD 3 will have Prabhudheva for sure': Remo D'Souza; Varun, Shraddha likely to join
Remo D'Souza has confirmed that Prabhudheva will be continuing in the dance movie franchise and will be a part of ABCD 3 as well.
Ace choreographer and filmmaker Remo DSouza, who directed choreographer Prabhudheva in the first two installments of the ABCD franchise, says he will be a part of the third film as well.
"ABCD is impossible without Prabhudheva. So ABCD 3 will have Prabhudheva for sure. The first and second films were written keeping Prabhu in mind and same goes for the third series as well," Remo said in a statement.
"Apart from Michael Jackson, the only man I look upto and admire his dancing skills is Prabhudheva. Earlier he had issues with language, but with the third instalment, his language has only got better," he added.
ABCD: Any Body Can Dance, the first film in the franchise, released in 2013 and featured Prabhudheva alongside Ganesh Acharya, Kay Kay Menon, Lauren Gottlieb, Punit Pathak, Dharmesh Yelande and Salman Yusuff Khan.
ABCD 2, which released in 2015, featured Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor. Remo is currently busy juggling between shooting for Star Plus dance reality show Dance + Season 3 and directing a yet untitled film with Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
D'souza has also confirmed that he has planned ABCD 3 for sometime in June 2018. “I am planning ABCD 3 around June next year. While we haven’t chalked out the details yet, we might just go with the leads of ABCD 2, Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor," said D'souza according to a report.
This news did not come as a surprise, considering how ABCD 2 fared at the box office after its release in 2015. As a dance movie, especially a Bollywood dance movie, ABCD 2 crossed 100 crore mark, putting the movie in the list of hits in 2015.
