‘Big Moment’: Sidhu Moosewala’s father, baby brother get featured on Times Square billboard

Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala’s parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, recently welcomed a baby boy. The excited father announced the news through a heartwarming picture posted on his social media handle. Now, they are back in the news as Sidhu Moosewala, Balkaur Singh, and the newborn got featured on the iconic Times Square Billboard.

In a tribute to Sidhu Moosewala and his newborn brother, their pictures were displayed at Times Square the video of which has made its way online. The fan accompanied the video with a short note that read, “Big moment for Sidhu Moose Wala: His dad and newborn baby’s photo shining bright in New York’s Time Square.” As can be seen in the video, the pictures displayed on the iconic billboard featured the new father Mr Balkaur with Shubhdeep. Another picture featured the late singer in his childhood whereas a third one had Moosewala enjoying a precious moment with his father.

It needs to be noted that Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur were blessed with a baby boy on March 17. In a photo shared by the late singer’s father, he can be seen holding the newborn in his arms, sitting in front of a framed photo of his late elder son. The heartwarming caption accompanying the adorable picture read, “With the blessings of millions of souls who love Shubdeep, the Almighty has put Shubh’s younger brother in our bag. With the blessings of Waheguru, the family is healthy and thankful to all the well-wishers for their immense love.”

The refreshing development came two years after Sidhu Moosewala was brutally murdered by a group of assailants on May 29, 2022. He was shot multiple times while in his car in Jawaharke village of Mansa district.

As per the procedures, the parents of the late singer opted for the IVF technique for the pregnancy of the mother. Reports suggest that they had gone abroad for the procedure last year. Following the birth of the baby, the centre flagged the age limit for the IVF process and even sought a report from the Punjab government on the matter.
