In a statement, Bharti said that she had told Kapil eight months ago that she wanted to work with him, to which Sharma assured that when he comes back, he would work with her and Krushna Abhishek. She even said that when rumours about his show going off air surfaced, she called Kapil to tell him that she knew him quite well, despite "what the world is (was) trying to say".

"In between, even I thought that he might not do it and I started getting offers from other shows, but I had decided that unless he tells me that he isn't going to do it and I should carry on, I would wait for him." she said to IANS.

Bharti will be seen playing Tittli Yadav, the wife of Kiku Sharda's character Bhachcha Yadav and mother to their 11 children, in The Kapil Sharma Show.

Bharti even attended Kapil's intimate wedding ceremony with Ginni Chatrath in Jalandhar and both the receptions in Amritsar and Mumbai.

The Kapil Sharma Show, which went off air last year, is all set to return on TV for its second season on 29 December, Sony announced last month on Twitter through an official promo. The first season, which premiered on 23 April, 2016, came to a halt owing to Kapil Sharma's deteriorating health as well as Sunil Grover's exit from the show after the infamous mid-air altercation, which resulted in a dip in its ratings.
