Vashu Bhagnani and Jackky Bhagnani of Pooja Entertainment filed a complaint against Ali Abbas Zafar for siphoning the subsidy funds he took from Abu Dhabi authorities during the shoot of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.
The current report has been floating of non-payment by the producers since last evening and the complaint has been filed in Bandra Police Station on 3rd September 2024 post which the reports have started and Bandra Police Station will summon the director anytime now.
A report by Dainik Bhaskar says Ali Abbas Zafar has filed a complaint with Federation of Western Indian Cine Employees (FWICE) against Bhagnani for non-payment of his Rs 7.30 crore fees, on the other hand, FWICE requested the Bharat helmer present evidence supporting his claims regarding unpaid due.
The production house released a statement that said, “The dues claimed do not constitute a legitimate claim and are subject to various set-offs, as communicated to us by BMCM Films Ltd.”
Known for producing movies like Coolie No 1, Hero No. 1, Biwi No. 1, Rehna Hai Terre Dil Mein, Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Om Jai Jagdish, Deewanapan, Ganapath and Ghost, Pooja Entertainment delivered several duds in recent times including Bell Bottom, Mission Raniganj with latest being _Bade Miyan Chote Miyan_ , which was reportedly made on the budget of Rs 350 crore and didn’t even cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office.

A source was quoted saying, “It all started with Bell Bottom, which was one of the first Hindi movies to be released in theatres post the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The film flopped badly at the box office and so did the next one, Mission Raniganj.”
