Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan shocked everyone when he shared a now-deleted video on social media and said how Bollywood is screwed.
Babil said, “What I mean to say is that I just want you guys to know that there are people like Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arijit Singh. There are so many more names. Bollywood is so screwed.”
The actor is now collaborating with filmmaker Sai Rajesh for a film. But the director has taken a dig at the actor’s viral video.
“Do you really think we’re that naive to just walk away silently? It feels like only those whose names were mentioned in his video deserve respect — and the rest of us are just fools for standing by him all this while?” Rajesh wrote, demanding a “sincere apology. “I really wanted to stand by him even for an hour. These sympathy games are not going to work for us anymore.”
Babil responded, “You really broke my heart. After everything I’ve given to you. 2 years of my life, complete physical atrocity to my body just so I can do justice to his character, I gave him my soul, rejected everything that came in my way for 2 years, anything and everything he needed, for 500 days of my life. I had bugs in my beard because he needed that in the character. I gave him my laughter while I held back my tears. I slit my fu**ing wrist for him.”
In an exclusive interview with Firstpost, the actor spoke about the prep for his role in this thriller that’s streaming on the platform, and the social media obsession that has crept in.
The actor said, “There wasn’t much of a prep because the script was so tight. My job was to listen to the script, listen to the director, and surrender and not think much. But sometimes what happens is that you deny certain aspects about yourself. Accepting something that I was denying was a part of the prep.”
