Baahubali: The Epic, which is technically the re-release of Baahubali 1 and 2, with the combination of both parts, has performed exceptionally well on its opening day, as it raked in around Rs 11 crore (all languages).
With these figures, it has beaten the opening day figures of biggies like Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (Rs 10.11 crore), Kesari 2 (Rs 7.84 crore) and Deva (Rs 5.78 crore), along with other movies like The Diplomat, Metro… In Dino, Bhool Chuk Maaf, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat (Rs 10.10 crore) and Jaat.
A tale of destiny, betrayal, love, and power - once told in two grand chapters, now reborn as one monumental experience.

The film has an outright chance of crossing the Rs 40 crore mark at the box office at its opening weekend. However, it would be interesting to see how it performs after the arrivals of biggies like Jatadhara, Haq and Predator: Badlands.
Talking about the review, Firstpost gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “The power of Rajamouli and Baahubali is validated enough when you know every frame and what will happen, and despite watching it at a stretch of 3 hours and 45 minutes, and enjoy every bit of it. On the whole, Baahubali: The Epic is a nostalgic trip to the biggest and redefining Indian cinema, which shouldn’t be missed.”
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nassar, Adivi Sesh and Subbaraju in prominent roles.
The music of the film is composed by the Academy Award winner M. M. Keeravani, while the camera is cranked by K. K. Senthil Kumar. Bankrolled by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner of Arka Media Works, the story of Baahubali is written by SS Rajamouli’s father, V Vijayendra Prasad.
