Baahubali 2 team cheers Dhurandhar 2 as it breaks 9-year North America record

In a rare show of camaraderie, the team behind Baahubali 2: The Conclusion has congratulated Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge after it dethroned their long-standing North America box office record.

Record broken after nearly a decade

After holding the top spot for nine years, _Baahubali 2_’s benchmark in North America has finally been surpassed. The Ranveer Singh-starrer crossed the $20.80 million mark within just nine days, overtaking Baahubali 2’s lifetime total in the region.

Dhurandhar 2, starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, achieved the milestone in under 10 days, a feat that has impressed both fans and industry insiders.

‘Congratulations to the team’

Reacting to the development, the makers of _Baahubali 2_, including its producer Shobu Yarlagadda, extended their congratulations to the Dhurandhar 2 team. Taking to X, he wrote, “Yesterday I watched #Dhurandhar2‌TheRevenge and needless to say I loved it and thoroughly enjoyed the film! Happy to see it breaking all the records and setting new box office benchmarks in India and worldwide! Congratulations to the entire team!"
