Aryan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan’s world came crashing down after the star-son was arrested and taken into custody during the 2021 Drugs case. Aryan was in the custody for a month before being released on bail.
Four years later, he made his directorial debut with his web-series _The Ba\*\*\*ds Of Bollywood_ and kind of mocked his own arrest when we saw a parody of former NCB officer Sameer Wankhede, who was expectedly not pleased. Wankhede’s defamation suit was widely discussed on social media and the Delhi High Court shall pronounce its verdict today.
A single-judge Bench of Justice Purushaindra Kaurav will deliver the judgment on January 29 at 10:30 a.m.
The Delhi HC rejected Wankhede's plea at first but later summoned the members of the Red Chillies production house, namely- Gauri Khan, who owns Red Chillies Entertainment Private Limited, Netflix, X Corp (formerly Twitter), Google LLC, Meta Platforms, RPG Lifestyle Media Private Limited, and John Doe.
What Sameer Wankhede said
“I am fighting for the honour of the uniform and the law enforcement agencies that are toiling and giving their blood to serve the nation. They cannot be humiliated like that; they cannot be trolled like that. And thirdly, I am fighting for the honour of our national emblem, Satyamev Jayate, which cannot be mocked and made fun of.”
Wankhede added, “People who are serving the nation, all the officers who are in the field, those who are part of anti-drug drives - these things hurt. Satire is a different thing altogether, but humiliating officers who have given blood to the nation, who are fighting against anti-drug activities - when such things happen, officers also feel bad about it.”

In his plea to the Delhi High Court, Sameer Wankhede said the series “disseminates a misleading and negative portrayal of anti-drug enforcement agencies, thereby eroding public confidence in law enforcement institutions.”
The plea adds that the show “deliberately conceptualised and executed with the intent to malign Sameer Wankhede’s reputation in a colourable and prejudicial manner.”
