Arjun Kapoor is Pinky, Parineeti Chopra is Sandeep in Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar?

After titillating the audience with their skillful performance and chemistry in Habib Faisal’s Ishaqzaade, Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra are going to re-unite for Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar .

After the film was announced, people took it for granted that the Pinky is played by Chopra and Sandeep is the name of Kapoor’s character. According to DNA , there’s more to the title.

Apparently, Pinky is Kapoor’s character and not the other way round. Parineeti plays Sandy, which is short form for Sandeep. The makers of the film have kept their names quirky, owing to the larger story.

The film revolves around the two characters who represent completely different notions of India. Their relationship is also marked by mistrust and suspicion. Although they are often pitted against each other in the story, they can’t do without each other, either.

The film will mark Chopra’s reunion after 5 years in this Dibakar Banerjee directorial. Banerjee is known for bringing profound, nuanced stories to screen and has helmed films like Khosla Ka Ghosla! and Love Sex Aur Dhokha among others.

The two actors will also take a walk down the memory lane by going back to working with YRF, the place where they started from. Chopra was last seen in Meri Pyaari Bindu opposite Ayushmann Khurrana while Kapoor’s last was Half Girlfriend, with Shraddha Kapoor.
