Ariana Grande shares tracklist, release date of upcoming album thank u, next
Ariana Grande will release her fifth studio album on 8 February.
Ariana Grande revealed the tracklist of her upcoming album thank u, next, which will release on 8 February.
The pop star's fifth studio album includes previously-released singles like 'thank u, next', '7 Rings' and 'Imagine.' The tracklist also mentions other songs titled 'NASA', 'needy' and 'break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored'.
The new album comes just months after she dropped Sweetener, which included songs like 'God is a woman', 'No Tears Left to Cry' and 'Breathin'. Grande will also begin her Sweetener world tour, her third in the past four years, starting from Times Union Center in Albany, New York on 18 March, according to Us Weekly. She has also rescheduled some dates of her tour to accommodate her Coachella performance in April.
In December, she told Billboard that she had always aspired to launch her new music at this rate. "My dream has always been to be — obviously not a rapper, but, like, to put out music in the way that a rapper does. I feel like there are certain standards that pop women are held to that men aren't. We have to do the teaser before the single, then do the single, and wait to do the preorder, and radio has to impact before the video, and we have to do the discount on this day, and all this shit. It’s just like, ‘Bruh, I just want to fucking talk to my fans and sing and write music and drop it the way these boys do. Why do they get to make records like that and I don’t?’ So I do and I did and I am, and I will continue to."
Recently, she was accused of plagiarism for her single '7 Rings' by Princess Nokia, 2 Chainz, Soulja Boy.
