The current national crush, Triptii Dimri, after her stint in Animal, became a household name. Triptii, who has taken the entertainment industry by storm these days, once was heartbroken as her debut film Laila Majnu fell flat at the box office. The actress, in a recent interview, took her fans to her initial days in the industry and opened up about dealing with heartbreak. She also revealed what kept her sane through the tough times and the reason behind choosing Bulbbul.
While speaking to the ETimes, Triptii recalled the day when her first film was released. She said, “When Laila Majnu was about to be released, I was buying vegetables at Pali market. I was living in a rented apartment and was doing most things by myself and I was thinking my movie is going to be released and I wouldn’t be able to step out as people would recognize me. But when the film was released, very few people went to see it, and I was literally heartbroken. I was offered films after that as well, but nothing was exciting. So I began working on my craft and attended many workshops – they kept me sane. And then, Bulbbul happened.”
Triptii went on to say that she was questioned by people for doing Bulbbul as the film was to be released on the OTT platform and not the theatres. She added Netflix had done just 8 films from India till that time which only increased the risk for her. Despite this, she decided to do the film for its intriguing storyline and well-written character without thinking about other aspects. The Animal actress believes that the film changed everything for her and she gradually started catching everyone’s attention.
Triptii Dimri currently has numerous projects in her kitty. She will be seen in a project alongside Vicky Kaushal. It is titled Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam. In addition to that, the Qala actress has also begun shooting for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 which also features Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan in the lead role.
