Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal is rewriting records at the global box office with its impeccable trending at the box office. While the the Hindi version of the entered the Rs 300 crore club in its opening week, it has now emerged as the highest 2nd Friday grosser of all time beating biggies like Gadar 2, Jawan and Pathaan. Highest 2nd Friday grossers Animal: Rs 21.56 crore. Gadar 2: Rs 20.50 crore. Bahubali 2 Hindi: Rs 19.75 crore. The Kashmir Files: Rs 19.15 crore. Dangal: Rs 18.59 crore. Jawan: Rs 19.10 crore. PK: Rs 15 crore. Pathaan: Rs 14 crore.

The Hindi version of the film currently stands with a grand total of Rs 322.37 crore and will cross the business of Sanju (Rs 340.8 crore) to become Ranbir Kapoor’s highest-grossing film of all time. Talking about the review, Firstpost gave the film 3.5 stars and wrote, “The runtime of Animal is over 3 hours and 20 minutes and I can assure you there won’t be any moment where you feel the movie is boring. Throughout the film something is happening which will keep you hooked to the screens and the credit goes to Vanga’s superb editing skills and storytelling. Talking about the performances, Ranbir Kapoor lives in and out to deliver one of his career-defining roles. Honestly, I wouldn’t have ever imagined that after being Bunny and Mickey from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, RK would go so dark, gore and violent and do this crazy stuff with Animal and that too like a boss.”
Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga of Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy fame, Animal also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri, Sonali Batra and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles. It locked horns with Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra starrer Sam Bahadur at the ticket windows.
