Amitabh Bachchan attends Subrata Roy's prayer meet, pays tribute to the Sahara chief on his blog

Subrata Roy, the Indian businessman who founded Sahara India Pariwar in 1978, passed away on November 14. Tributes began pouring in on social media. At his prayer meet, Amitabh Bachchan, along with children Abhishek and Shweta, arrived to pay their last respects too.

Bachchan also penned a note to pay tribute to Roy on his blog. The actor wrote- “.. one by one the past leaves us .. they who become your attachment, your close .. one day they leave .. and the void remains that unkept untreated volcanic depth of unknown void ..no more the presence .. no more the affection .. all gone ..for them a better residence .. for us left behind that void of the crater, filled with the laked waters of nature .. unexplained, yet there till time decides to unwind and relive ..it never does .. but no harm in reliving that for the self ..,” He added, “Single handedly, with no generational affliction, he built an envious empire .. from nothing to a thing that did not possess a ‘no’ .. the ‘no’ of nothing .. gone ..just the times of memory and remembrance .. as does life with all of us ..prayers to suffice the absence .. the gentle reassurance to them left behind..” Bachchan also recently revealed that he has cleaned utensils several times and even cleaned the bathroom sink. On his popular quiz game show _Kaun Banega Crorepati 15_ , while having a conversation with a contestant he asked why anyone thinks that he doesn’t do any household chores. Contestant Harsh Shah asked Big B if he had ever cleaned utensils sharing the details of his business and said, “I handle my father’s business. We have a manufacturing unit of plastic monofilament yarns. These threads are used in making the cleaning scrubs. Sir, have you ever cleaned utensils?"
