Pakistani actor Fawad Khan has spoken about the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which took the lives of several innocent tourists.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the actor express his sadness and wrote, “Deeply saddened to hear the news of the heinous attack in Pahalgam. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of this horrifying incident and we pray for strength and healing for their families in this difficult time."
Fawad’s statement has come amid harsh criticism towards him and Abir Gulaal star Vaani Kapoor due to the ongoing political tensions between India and Pakistan and the terrorist attack has intensified the boycott calls for the film.
“Have been numb, at a loss of words since the time I have seen the attack on innocent people in Pahalgam. Gutted. Devastated. My prayers are with the families," Vaani shared his condolences for the victims on social media.
Several netizens slammed Vaani for promoting Abir Gulaal on social media. “How can bollywood be such a shit, have you’ll forgot the attacks that killed our soldiers in URI? I knew bollywood was bad with their memories but this is too much…their administration is busy funding terror against India and our bollywood is busy funding these people!” wrote one netizen.
‘This Movie should be banned and you should be blacklisted,’ wrote another user. “As an Indian artist, it was not just your moral but national duty as well to at least delete the posts of this film since you can’t walk out of the project now. But oops, I forgot it’s Bollywood where profit is everything and patriotism doesn’t exist,” commented another user.
