Alia Bhatt falls victim to Deepfake after Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif; obscene video goes viral

In recent times, deepfake technology has raised a lot of concerns, especially due to its potential to create deceptive or misleading content, including the fabrication of videos featuring public figures. Beginning with Rashmika Mandanna who was among the first celebrities to become a victim of deepfake, many others including Katrina Kaif and Kajol also fell prey to such scams. In the recent one, Alia Bhatt has also become a victim of deepfake . A morphed video making rounds on the internet shows a woman, with the edited face of the Darlings actress. Considering the video includes obscene content, the video has once again sparked concerns about the use of artificial intelligence and deepfake. The morphed video of Alia Bhatt that has surfaced online shows a girl dressed in a floral co-ord set sitting on the bed and making gestures to the camera. The video clearly shows the lady’s face being edited with Alia’s face as the latter sits on the bed. The manipulated video not only copies the actress’ face, but also copies her voice and gestures quite accurately.

While the video has been circulated across social media platforms, fans were also seen slamming the misuse of technology. A user wrote, “Alia Bhatt ka deep fake video aa gaya market mein batao. where are we heading as a society?” Actresses falling victim to deepfake Earlier, a digitally altered video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral where her face was edited over the clip of British Indian influencer Zara Patel. The Animal actress also reacted to the actress and shared her concerns. Later, another clip went viral featuring the manipulated face of Kajol over another woman’s face who can be seen changing clothes on camera. Not only that, but an edited video of a scene from Katrina Kaif’s film ‘Tiger 3’ also went viral. While the original video featured Katrina fighting in a towel, the edited video showed her in a low-cut white top and a matching bottom instead of the towel.

Besides that, a picture of Sara Tendulkar posing with Shubman Gill also caught the internet’s attention. Later, Sara issued a statement clarifying that the image was misleading.
