Akshaye Khanna should be on cloud nine post two blockbusters in the same year-Chhaava and Dhurandhar. The recluse star is getting immense praise for his restrained and remarkable performance as Rehman Dakait. And amid the success that he deserves, the actor performed a Vastu Shanti Hawan at his Alibaug home for peace and prosperity.

The ritual was shared on Instagram by priest Shivam Mhatre, who wrote in Marathi, “I had the fortune of performing a traditional and devotional puja at actor Akshaye Khanna’s residence. His calm nature, simplicity, and positive energy made the experience truly special.”

Mhatre added, “Akshaye is the definition of ‘class’ in acting. Through his powerful and impactful role in Chhaava, he captured the audience’s attention. This was followed by his intense performance in Dhurandhar, his restrained yet compelling work in Drishyam 2, and his realistic portrayal in Section 375. With carefully chosen roles and meaningful cinema, Akshaye continues to hold a unique and respected place in the hearts of audiences.”

Tees Maar Khan 2

And if a report by Box-Office India is to be believed, he could be reuniting with his ‘Tees Maar Khan’ co-star Akshay Kumar for ‘Bhagam Bhag 2.’

Nothing about the development has been confirmed yet.

Akshaye Khanna  seems to have become the flavour of the month post his bone-chilling and barbaric performance in Aditya Dhar’s severely discussed and debated spy drama Dhurandhar. The pensive star essayed the role of Pakistani gangster Rahman Dakait. The vintage Akshaye Khanna smirks were sprinkled on the heinous demeanour of this dreaded gangster.

Dhar allows his actor to chew the scenery and fascinatingly fulfills his wish of starring in an action film. There’s swag even in his sorrows. He dies a painful death in an encounter that happens in 2009 in the film, inspired by real-life events and incidents.
