Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ and Ajay Devgn’s ‘Maidaan’ were all set to storm the screens on April 10, but a report by Bollywood Hungama says the juggernauts could now open in the cinemas on April 11, with only paid previews from 6 pm onwards on 10th. This is because EID is most likely to fall on 11th and not 10th.
“Just sometime back, we got a message stating that Maidaan’s shows should begin at 6:00 PM on Wednesday. Later, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s makers also made the same request,” a source told the portal.
Ali Abbas Zafar on the clash
“I would request everyone to please go and watch Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan whenever you have time. It’s a long weekend. Two films can be released together. I feel we are two very different films and both films will offer the best to the audience so please go and watch it on this Eid,” the filmmaker told Pinkvilla.
The filmmaker added, “We want people to come to theaters, enjoy and support us as a filmmaking fraternity because we are all together in this. There’s no clash, there’s no negativity among ourselves. Our respect for each other is phenomenal because we all know that we have put in a lot of hardwork in making our films.”
Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial prowess, coupled Akshay Kumar’s powerhouse performance, ensures ‘ _Bade Miyan Chote Miyan_ ’ stands tall as the biggest action film of 2024.
Shot across stunning locations such as Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi, Scotland, and Jordan, this pan-India film is creating buzz for its grand scale and Hollywood-style cinematic visuals. The film features Prithviraj Sukumaran in an intriguing villainous role, while also starring talented actors Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar, and Alaya F in significant parts. As the days count, the excitement is building for the film’s theatrical release on Eid 2024.
