Taking to his Instagram stories, Karan Johar shared a poster of Dhurandhar featuring Ranveer Singh and wrote, “OUTSTANDING!!!!! So much respect for Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh, Shashwat Sachdeva (my favourite ranveersingh performance). Congratulations to the entire cast and crew and to officialjiostudios."
Anupam Kher
He shared a video message, calling Dhurandhar a “triumph for Indian cinema”. “I don’t know whether I should say this… I told Aditya on the phone, ‘Mata chadh gayi hai kya? Itni kamaal ki film banaayi hai!’ Toh bahut hase woh. Sometimes it’s a very proud feeling when somebody makes a film like this. Ranveer Singh is very good in the film. He’s carried that quietness so well,” he said.

Smriti wrote,“If you have looked into the eyes of the wife of a fallen soldier & walked her to the cremation ground, if you have visited the Jagti camp in Jammu , if you have seen the deserted temple premises of Sharika Devi in Srinagar , if you have met those who were on duty during Parliament attack or have family that survived the 26/11 Mumbai attack then nothing in Dhurandhar should lead you to outrage — after all it’s just a film."
She continued, “As a storyteller @adityadharfilms is a craftsperson par excellence , as a research fiend even more so. It’s the quivering face as he pulls the cover off a dead son that makes #akshayekhanna’s performance a lesson in craft & @ranveersingh ‘s piercing eyes that speak when he doesn’t is a must watch for those who aspire to be consistent in their pursuit of a legacy , that @rampal72 can be so menacing is a revelation … & the music OMG.”

How! How? Because the director @AdityaDharFilms propelled all of them with his conviction. And his passion. Which shows in every frame. There are some scenes that are executed like a seasoned maestro. Each performance, all of them, have just submitted and allowed their best to be extracted. I’m going to go again. And i don’t remember wanting to see a film again in the theatres for years.. so happy!! Kudos team DHURANDHAR! (sic)."
