After 'Animal', Ranbir Kapoor to star in 'Wake Up Sid 2' with Konkona Sensharma? Karan Johar drops big hint

Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma-starrer Wake Up Sid was a critical and box office success and is still a favourite for so many fans. The adorable pair of Siddharth Mehra and Aisha Banerjee hit the right notes, leaving fans wanting the sequel. While _Wake Up Sid_ has been winning hearts for more than a decade now, a recent BTS video of the two stars has got the internet talking. Fans are pretty much convinced that the duo is back for the film’s sequel. While the video shows Ranbir and Konkana presumably in preparation for their next project, they are accompanied by actors Namit Das and Shikha Talsania, who played Ranbir’s friends in the Ayan Mukerji directorial. And just then, ace filmmaker Karan Johar took the excitement to the next level. He dropped yet another video on Instagram, making fans go crazy. In the video, Ranbir is seen waking up after listening to the tune of Wake Up Sid, the title song of the film. Without revealing any details about the project, Karan wrote, “Is this really happening? All I know is something exciting is brewing and I couldn’t have woken up to a better piece of news.”

Reacting to the video, fans were left divided. While many got all excited thinking about the film’s sequel, a few also believed that it was just an advertisement. Ranbir and Konkana reunite for Wake Up Sid? In the earlier video that went viral, Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma can be seen shooting for something special. While the Animal actor was dressed in a blue tee along with off-white pants, Konkona visibly reprised her Wake Up Sid look by donning a kurta, jeans, and a dupatta. “All the gang members are there … notice Sikha Talsania & namit das too … something related to wake up sid definitely… not a movie but an ad for sure,” wrote a fan. “Please make a movie both of you. Sid & Ayesha should be back,” read another comment. “Even Namit Das and Shikha Talsania on the shoot ..something delicious brewing,” said another fan. While seeing Ranbir and Konkana together got fans excited, an official announcement is yet to be made.
