Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s 12th Fail turned out as a sleeper hit in 2023, soaring both domestically and globally. Based on the life of IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, 12th Fail can be considered a hit in several ways as the film not only earned a considerable amount at the box office but also won a lot of hearts. Riding high on the back of the film’s success, the entire team got together recently to celebrate the feat. The lead actors along with the director and the cast and crew came together to celebrate 12th Fail’s 100 days in cinema on Saturday in Mumbai. While Vikrant Massey and Medha Shankr were among the first ones seen gracing the event, they were further joined in by director Vidhu Vinod Chopra and the real-life Manoj and Shraddha. Actors like Anant V Joshi, Anshuman Pushkar, and Priyanshu Chatterjee were also spotted at the event. As the film completes a successful 100-day run at theatres, the team celebrated the feat by holding a special screening for film school students in Mumbai. The cast and crew also gathered to boost their morale, pictures of which have also gone viral on social media.

12th Fail big win at awards Vikrant Massey won the Best Actor (Critics) at the recently held 69th Filmfare Awards for his performance in 12th Fail. The film also won the trophies for Best Film and Best Director at the same event. Taking to his social media, Vikrant dedicated his award to the real-life IPS officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, on whom the film is based. Later he also shared a picture with the Black Lady on Instagram and wrote, “We’re home. FINALLY!!!”
On the other hand, celebrities also took to social media and widely praised the film and the actor’s performance. From director Anurag Kashyap to actors like Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Vijay Varma, Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, and Vijay Deverakonda among others, the line of celebs hailing the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film and Vikrant Massey is quite long.
