New Delhi: India’s infrastructure sector output grew 0.5 percent in January from last year, sharply lower than the upwardly revised annual growth of 4.6 percent in the previous month, government data showed on Tuesday.

During April-January, the first 10 months of the current 2011/12 financial year, the output rose 4.1 percent, compared with an annual rise of 5.7 percent a year ago, data showed.
