Kolkata: Bilateral trade between India and the Czech Republic could reach $3 billion by 2015, Czech ambassador to India Miloslav Stasek said Thursday.
“Bilateral trade between the two countries stood at $1.5 billion in the last fiscal. We are hoping that it would reach to $2 billion by the end of the current fiscal,” Stasek told reporters on the sidelines of an Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) regional award presentation ceremony here.

“We feel it (trade) can reach to $3 billion by 2015,” he said. Tourism and automotive sectors were the major areas which could boost the trade between the two countries, Stasek said.
“One-third of the total bilateral trade between India and the Czech Republic is contributed by automotive sectors,” he added.
