 "ZyXel Launches ES-2108 G Ethernet Switch")
ZyXEL Communications has rolled out the ZyXEL ES-2108 G Managed Layer 2 Fast Ethernet Switch series, designed for small workgroup environment. ES-2108 G offers 8-port design and selections of uplink options (1000Base-T, SFP, 100FX).
The ZyXEL ES-2108 G claims to include various management tools to streamline the management effort of IT manager. With ZyXEL’s iStacking technology, one can manage up to 24 ZyXEL switches through one IP address. In addition, through iManage that includes Web-GUI, CLI (Command Line Interface) and text-based configuration, network managers can select the one management interface they are most comfortable with and get the job done efficiently.
“The network managers can protect the management session with SSHv1/v2 authentication and SSL encryption features and also can use ZyXEL’s NetAtlas Enterprise, (an SNMP-based network management software) to remotely manage ES-2108 g from a central location,” commented Mahendra Lalwani, managing director, ZyXEL Technology India.
