ZTE is demonstrating its latest carrier-grade all-IP multi-service bearer solution at the MPLS and Ethernet World Congress 2009 currently being held in Paris, France.

The increasing number of IP network transmission projects and growing network traffic from business services and mobile backhaul are the main driving forces for telecom equipment and service providers to continue increasing their investments in developing optical network equipment, including IP-based bearer platform, according to Infonetics Research.

ZTE’s all-IP multi-service bearer integrated solution is designed to address the critical needs of carriers and telecom operators by providing high network bandwidth, more service access, and higher bearing efficiency. It facilitates flexible service deployment and resource allocation to ensure high quality SLA and helps operators lower their TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). By leveraging on its unified carrier-grade software platform, it also offers customised solutions for different network services and scenarios.

Based on ZTE’s Ethernet technology, the new all-IP multi-service bearer solution is integrated with advanced IP/MPLS and T-MPLS(MPLS-TP)OAM (Operations, Administration, and Maintenance), as well as network protection technology. It optimises Ethernet services, and at the same time maintains its TDM/ ATM compatibility.

Fan Chengfa, chief engineer of ZTE Bearer Network Product Line, says, “Our carrier-grade all-IP bearer solution has the capability to adapt to the latest IP development trends, a unified platform that delivers mainstream technologies, product optimisation to lower TCO and reduce potential harm to the environment, and fulfilling bearer requirements for future network upgrade”.
