West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited (WBEIDC), popularly known as Webel, a state government’s nodal agency responsible for developing Information Technology (IT) and Information Technology Enabled Services (ITES) industries within the state recently deployed Microsoft Dynamics NAV Solutions, to improve operations and bring in management efficiency that results in effective and on-time business decisions.
The solution enabled streamlining the processes, makes information available across all procedures for retrieval and established user level access controls to minimise human errors.
The challenge faced by Webel was to manually manage most of its business processes like reports, purchase orders, tenders and other commercial activities. Inadequate accountability, transparency and controls resulted in unstructured data and lack of meaningful MIS. The deployment of Microsoft Dynamics NAV solution enabled Webel to increase organisational transparency and responsibility, improve productivity of processes and personnel, enhanced user level access controls; minimising human errors and improves business operations and controls. The goal for them to exercise better control, and improve processes, to minimise delays was hence achieved with this deployment.

We no longer maintain separate Excel sheets for each task, which were often hard to access.
