VSNL Ties UP With F-Secure

Internet Security company, F-Secure and Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) have tied up to offer security solutions for the SME segment.

Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly offer managed security services such as F-Secure’s antivirus solution, firewall and spam filtering solutions to small and medium businesses. They will also offer PC Security Shield, a management platform which will allow administrators to manage and extract relevant reports related to their internal IT environment.

Making the announcement, Jari Heinonen, director, F-Secure, APAC, said, “We are very happy to work with VSNL and jointly offer our security solutions to their business customers. Now, for the first time it will be possible for SMEs to manage their security environment by themselves and really see what is happening in the network without installing any management servers or other centralized software in their premises.”

F-Secure’s PC Security Shield is designed to protect workstations and file servers without too much intervention from IT administrators to maintain the network. Leveraging this platform, VSNL will be able to provide high-quality desktop security services to business users. The solution will be available for subscription through VSNL’s online platform.
