Venture Infotek, a transaction management company, has announced Compliance and Certification for Payment Card Industry-Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Version 1.2 for the second year in succession.
The PCI Data Security Standard represents the best practices defined by VISA USA, VISA International, MasterCard Worldwide, American Express, Discover Network and JCB, to help facilitate the broad adoption of consistent data security measures on a global basis.
All level 1 providers need to undergo an annual on-site PCI Data Security Assessment by an independent Qualified Security Assessor to retain compliance. In order to renew its certification, Venture Infotek’s operations and processes successfully passed an audit assessing compliance with strict standards and requirements. The audit was conducted by ControlCase, a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) from PCI Security Standards Council. The certificate is valid for twelve months and will be renewed thereafter subject to successful reassessment.
The PCI DSS is a multi-faceted security standard that includes requirements for security management, policies, procedures, network architecture, software design and other critical protective measures, intended to help organisations proactively protect and safeguard sensitive customer account data.
“Achieving the PCI DSS Version 1.2 Certification for the second successive year demonstrates our commitment to data security and safety of the card holder data we access and process. The certification recognises that Venture Infotek’s systems are aligned with the best practices and industry guidelines to protect sensitive cardholder data and minimise risk of fraud for both cardholders and merchants,” said Piyush Khaitan, Managing Director, Venture Infotek.
