“With his vast experience spanning 17 years and his ability to deal with customers across verticals and geographies, Venkatesh will be an asset for us in reinforcing our current market presence in a fast growing and dynamic market such as India,” said Boris Ivancic.

Prior to this role, Venkatesh was associated with Microsoft Corporation for approximately four years and was the first dedicated resource appointed by Microsoft for Identity and Access (IDA) business in India. During his tenure at Websense Inc and RSA Security B.V., Venkatesh was working as Regional Manager-South & SAARC regions.

“I am glad to be associated with these prestigious brands – Attachmate, NetIQ, Novell and SUSE – all which enjoy a long history of innovation, product quality, and commitment to customer success. With over 12 years in the security domain, I see the need for increased emphasis on SIEM today – a key market for NetIQ – amidst global threats and this was one of the primary factors that attracted me to this leadership opportunity. NetIQ offerings provide differentiators in Identity and Security management; also, with Linux becoming a much more popular choice across the world today; largely for its cost and reliability benefits over other technologies; and the convergence of security to end point management solutions makes our solutions under Attachmate, NetIQ, Novell and SUSE a great fit suited to meet the customers’ requirements as well as harness the existing growth opportunities in the market today,” said Venkatesh Swaminathan.
