'Vantage 11 Helps IT Resolve Problems In Real Time'

Compuware recently announced the release of its IT services management solution, Vantage, for Indian enterprises. Biztech2.com caught up with Vivek Sharma, country head, India and SAARC, Compuware, on why he thinks the solution is imperative for the Indian market in today’s day and age.

What is unique about the Vantage 11 solution?

The fact that it is a solution on the application front that connects the customer/ provider and the end user is what makes Vantage 11 a unique product. It has been designed from the end-user perspective. For example, if one is trying to book tickets on a certain website, and for some reason is unable to do that, then the website (and with it the customer) will automatically get to know about it. This will help them to figure out the problem in the application and fix it without further delay.

How is this product relevant in today’s day and age? Why do you think companies need it?

First and foremost, it improves customer service. Indian enterprises will in fact be able to save up to 20 percent of their cost of IT operations with the help of this solution. It helps the IT personnel of a company prioritise the problems that arise. As the customer now knows the source of the problem from the end-user side, it helps in minimising the trails it would have otherwise taken to know where the problem transpires. It saves a lot of time as now five people are not trying to figure out the point of origin.

Also, the fact that the company gets an update on a real-time basis, saves a lot of time in problem realisation. Again, if there are more customers, who are facing problem at a certain level of the application, more than once, it will help the IT people take a closer look to resolve the issue.

I don’t think there are any inhibitors to the growth of this product in the market. Cutting costs, while maintaining or improving the service IT delivers to the business, is utmost in the minds of our customers because of recession. And products that will help attain this goal will be welcomed by everyone at this stage.
