UniPrint Launches Infinity Managed Print Solution

UniPrint has announced the release of UniPrint Infinity, the industry’s first printer-vendor independent managed print solution for any computing environment. Based on UniPrint’s patented Universal Printer Driver and powered by its Virtual Print Infrastructure, UniPrint Infinity simplifies printer management and enables anywhere, anytime, any device secure pull printing across different platforms, offices and geographies.

Unlike most universal drivers in the market, UniPrint Infinity is truly universal and not limited to any device, such as Printer Computer Language (PCL)-based or PostScript (PS)-based printers. Organisations can now select printers based on their specific requirements allowing them to select “best of breed” hardware from any manufacturer.

STORY CONTINUES BELOW THIS AD

“Organisations are adopting managed print services with the goal of reducing the cost of printing while improving document processes and efficiency,” said Scott Hornbuckle, Senior Market Analyst at leading managed print services research and consulting group, Photizo. “UniPrint aids in this objective by simplifying printer management, increasing security and reducing print output.”
The UniPrint Infinity software yields many advantages especially when deployed across complex enterprise networks. It eliminates printer driver incompatibility issues while overcoming document security concerns by employing the vPad user authentication device and encryption control functionality. Print jobs are converted into a compressed Portable Document Format (PDF), which is encrypted. This enhances enterprise-wide document security and facilitates easy, secure pull printing. The vPad is fully compatible with any smart card readers, and can incorporate RFID, HID and FOB devices already employed in many workplaces.

UniPrint Infinity’s secure print functionality is of the utmost importance in industries such as healthcare, financial services, government and legal services where security is at a premium. Its user-authenticated pull printing capability reduces unnecessary printing, resulting in significant, enterprise-wide savings in printing and paper costs.

“It is widely acknowledged that enterprise printing comes with a heavy price tag,” said Arron Fu, VP of Software Development at UniPrint. “With UniPrint Infinity, enterprises no longer need to standardise their printer fleet and can realise significant cost savings as a result. We are particularly delighted to offer our customers a measurable ROI, allowing them to meet their global printing needs while reducing the associated costs by at least 35%. UniPrint Infinity enhances operational efficiency and reduces expenses while maintaining internal control of your printing environment.”
