Ticketvala.com, an Internet-based bus ticket booking platform, has launched mTicket – the Mobile Bus Ticket solution. Customers can now opt to pay and receive bus tickets on their mobile phones. This is a part of the company’s endeavour to use the telecom revolution optimally and cater to the anytime, anywhere needs of today’s mobile consumers.

The mobile ticketing solution is available for intercity bus services all across India. Currently, it is operational on services by select bus operators and will soon be available widely.

With Ticketvala.com’s mTicket, customers who book their tickets by calling the customer care service, can opt to pay through the Airtel promoted mChek mobile payment system and receive the confirmation PNR on their mobiles. The customer has to register with Airtel’s mChek to enable the purchase amount to be debited to his credit card account. On receiving payment, Ticketvala.com will immediately send the mTicket to the customer’s mobile phone to confirm booking.

After having pioneered conveniences like e-tickets and home-delivered bus tickets, the mTicket is the latest innovation in convenient bus ticketing from Ticketvala.com.

“To provide real convenience to travellers, it is necessary to go beyond the Internet. With increasing penetration of telecommunications, the mobile has become an extension of the individual,” said Haranath Lokanadham, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Travis Internet (Ticketvala.com). “Through the mTicket option, we have provided the customer yet another convenient option to book his ticket anytime and anywhere, and then also receive it on his mobile.”
