Teradata has announced availability of its new disaster recovery assessment service, which enables businesses to build disaster recovery solutions which meet their enterprise needs.
“Disasters don’t have to be accompanied by extreme physical destruction,” said Randy Lea, vice president, product and services, Teradata. “Companies today rely on their data warehouse to conduct their daily business, drive revenue and serve their customers. Not being able to conduct your daily business due to a system outage is indeed a disaster and should be planned for just the same.”
The disaster recovery assessment can be conducted over two weeks by an experienced Teradata disaster recovery team who identifies and prioritises business critical applications and data, quantifies the relative importance and financial impact of a disaster and develops potential recovery strategies. The results of the disaster recovery assessment are delivered with an executive summary which will offer suggestions for next steps based on analysis of the customer’s specific needs.
