Symphony, Corent Tech Ally To Speed Up Cloud Migration

Symphony Services, the software and product engineering services provider, has announced it has aligned with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) innovator Corent Technology to help customers dramatically speed up the process of migrating conventional, single-tenant software applications into scalable, multi-tenant, and cloud-ready SaaS solutions. Software companies will now have a viable alternative to the costly and extremely complex virtualisation strategies commonly used for SaaS deployment.

“We’ve long championed the innovative ‘plug-in’ approach to multi-tenancy that eliminates the need to re-write applications. It is key to delivering efficient and competitive SaaS solutions, eliminating the cost and scalability drawbacks associated with virtualisation alone,” said Shafi Syed, EVP of Engineering at Corent Technology. “With Symphony Services, we’ve aligned with a leading product engineering services provider whose development expertise and SaaS industry experience will help further our mission of enabling scalable SaaS solutions that are delivered at the lowest possible cost to software companies around the world.”

“Today’s announcement is an exciting milestone for Symphony and the latest example of how we’re successfully delivering with a highly innovative and aggressive SaaS migration strategy for our global customer roster,” said Sunil Gupta, SVP and Head of Service Lines, Symphony Services. “We look forward to working with the team at Corent Technology to exceed our mutual client expectations while continuing to set the highest bar for SaaS innovation and solutions delivery.”

Corent Technology has brought to market “plug-in” multi-tenancy that overcomes the drawbacks inherent in virtualisation only strategies. With Corent’s multi-tenant technology, Symphony can assist in delivering efficient and scalable SaaS solutions to its clients by plugging in multi-tenancy capabilities into traditional single-tenant applications. The resulting SaaS solutions have unparalleled efficiency, scalability, and portability benefits and dramatically reduce operational costs and complexity over the entire product lifecycle. Since application upgrades can be applied to all tenants by simply modifying the single instance of the application, the cost savings fall directly to the bottom line. Moreover, since re-writing applications is eliminated, the resulting SaaS solution can be brought to market with Symphony Services in months instead of years.
