Symphony Service Corp has announced the appointment of Sanjay Dhawan as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Pallab Chatterjee, Symphony Services’ current Chairman and CEO, will revert to his role as Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors.
Before joining Symphony Services, Dhawan served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Aricent. Prior to Aricent, Dhawan was the Chairman, CEO and co-founder of Inkra Networks. Dhawan also held chief strategy, development, sales and management roles at Netopia, StarNet and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). He has authored several networking-related publications and books and has chaired IEEE 802 and ANSI X3T9 standards sub-groups.
“I am very excited to welcome Sanjay Dhawan to Symphony Services,” said Pallab Chatterjee, Chairman of the Board of Symphony Services. “Over the last year we have virtually transformed the company to ensure we commit to delivering on business outcomes for clients that span multiple technology and industry sectors and Sanjay’s leadership will help us accelerate growth in the ISV, embedded and engineering services markets.”
“There is a fundamental shift happening in the software industry as independent software vendors ISVs look for strategic partnerships in engineering services. Symphony Services’ award-winning innovation, deep industry and domain expertise and broad service offerings strongly differentiate us against our competitors. Our board and investors have given us a clear mandate to drive organic and inorganic growth, and see Symphony Services reach a $500 million revenue run rate and beyond. I look forward to working with our team and our clients to ensure we achieve our goal,” said Dhavan.
