Srinivas Varadarajan Joins Polaris Wireless As VP, Sales And BD, Asia

Polaris Wireless, the software-based wireless location solutions provider, has announced that Srinivas Varadarajan has joined the company as Vice President of sales and business development for Asia. In this role, Varadarajan will be based in the Polaris Wireless regional headquarters in Bangalore, India, and will lead the company’s efforts to expand its strategic partnerships and client base in the region.

“Polaris Wireless’ strategy of expanding business in Asia requires an experienced leader who understands the market,” said Manlio Allegra, CEO, Polaris Wireless. “With his successful track record of promoting location services in Asia, Srinivas is uniquely positioned to achieve our goals in the region. I welcome him to the team.”

Prior to joining Polaris Wireless, Varadarajan was the global head of the LBS business unit at Nokia Siemens Networks, where he was responsible for establishing and growing relationships with major telecom operators throughout Asia. He previously was director of business development for the applications practice in the global services business unit at Motorola. His efforts there were instrumental in expanding the consumer LBS business in Japan and China. Varadarajan holds a B.S. in electronics and communication from Madurai Kamaraj University in India.
