Sophos Mobile Control Delivers Support For Apple iOS 7

Sophos has announced that its mobile device management and security platform, Sophos Mobile Control (SMC), will immediately support iOS 7, Apple’s latest mobile operating system, which was also announced this week.

Sophos Mobile Control is ideal for small- and medium-sized businesses looking for a simple, secure way to enable employees to use mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phones, to get work done.

In addition to delivering iOS 7 support, Sophos announced an update for customers to manage the new business-focused features of Apple’s latest version from the easy-to-use Sophos web-based console, deployed either on-premise or as Software as a Service (SaaS).

According to Gartner, Apple iOS 7 includes more enterprise enhancements than any release since iOS 4.0 introduced mobile device management APIs. Version 3.6 of Sophos Mobile Control enables enterprises of all sizes to protect corporate data, with many new enhancements, including separation of company and personal data, per app VPN, a new volume purchasing program (VPP) and remote configuration of apps
