Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) India has announced plans to expand its education initiative through appointment of select technical education institutes and universities in the country as its education franchise partner.
SNIA India has trained about 23 qualified trainers under its ‘Train-the-Trainer’ programme. These trainers have been imparting their learning further and trained over 200 professionals from across industry including storage vendors, storage system integrators, storage distributors, consulting organisations, software development units and end-user organisations.
More than 80% of the course attendees have cleared various levels of SCP certification (SNIA Certified Professional) examinations.
“SNIA India aims to address this issue by making its curriculum and courses available at education centres of repute. SNIA India has prepared a detailed charter for the same which defines certain qualifying criteria for an institute or university to be selected as its franchise partner. There are qualifying criteria for the trainers as well to ensure zero-compromise on the quality of education being imparted by the franchisee,” informs Sharad Srivastava, chairman, SNIA India.
