Netgear ProSafe Smart Switch GS748T For SMBs

Netgear Technologies India has enhanced its range of Smart Switch family with ProSafe Smart Switch GS748T for small and growing companies.

Commenting on the launch, Atul Jain, country manager, Netgear, India and SAARC, shared, “The SMB business wants a technology which is proven and rock solid along with it, it should be hassle-free in terms of manageability. They do not want to spend much on the manpower to maintain these boxes unlike the large enterprises. Therefore, NETGEAR’s ProSafe Smart Switch GS748T is a very good option for them.”

GS748T includes performance monitoring, port configuration, VLAN for traffic control, port trunking for increased bandwidth and Class of Service (CoS) for traffic prioritisation.

This switch comes with buffer memory of 1,632 KB embedded memory per unit and can handle 16,000 media access control (MAC) addresses per system. And the mean time between failure is 69,930 hours (~8 years). The system requirements for GS748T are Cat 5 network cables, Network card for each PC and Network software.
