Emkor Solutions Limited has announced a strategic alliance with Citrix to deliver Desktop and Application as a service on Citrix platform that would offer Citrix XenApp – an on demand application delivery solution, Hosted Shared Desktop and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure enabling emerging and midmarket businesses in India to execute cost and operational efficiencies and accelerate revenue growth. The new offering will strengthen Emkor growing portfolio of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), their Collaboration Product Suite, Office Productivity tools, Unified Communications and Business Intelligence tools. As a Citrix partner, Emkor currently will deliver these solutions to small and medium enterprises in India and the Middle East.
The company will enable enterprise mobility and cloud services to users anywhere, any time and on any devices through collaborative efforts with Citrix and other technology partners. Citrix XenDesktop with custom made services will give customers solutions that will simplify and speed desktop virtualisation deployments across their organisation.
Today, cloud-based DR is poised to shake up legacy approaches and has offered IT infrastructure and operations professionals a compelling alternative, datacentre managers are expected to allocate nearly 50 percent of their budgets to running services in the cloud (public and private) by 2013.
Additionally, solutions provided through the Citrix XenServer leads to creation of a virtual IT infrastructure which protects against disaster as well as has great usability features, like timely and regular up gradation, easy to integrate storage requirements, lower costs of shared infrastructure and power consumption.
