SMC Achieves 10G Certification With RELDATA iSCSI Storage System

SMC Networks, a provider of networking solutions for the SMB and enterprise markets, has announced that the SMC TigerSwitch 10G Standalone 8-Port XFP 10G Managed Layer 2 Switch (SMC8708L2) and TigerAccess 10GBASE-X XFP Transceivers have been certified for interoperability with RELDATA’s 9240 Unified iSCSI Storage System enabling users to add a high-speed iSCSI SAN storage system to support demanding network applications such as virtualisation, and storage and sharing of large data and multimedia files.

The certification of the SMC TigerSwitch 10G Managed Switch and 10GBASE-X XFP Transceivers (SMC10GXFP-SR and SMC10GXFP-LR) with the RELDATA 9240 Unified iSCSI Storage System, which delivers integrated iSCSI SAN, NAS and WAN replication functions from a single virtualised platform, ensures system compatibility and maximum throughput to support the performance of virtualised network environments of enterprise and SMB customers.
