Savvis, a global player in cloud infrastructure and hosted IT solutions for enterprises, has announced that Savvis Symphony Open cloud infrastructure services will be available to clients in Asia-Pacific through its Singapore data centre later this month.
Due to client demand in Asia-Pacific, Savvis is expanding its cloud infrastructure services offering to this region. Savvis Symphony Open will be the second cloud solution available from its Singapore data centre, complementing the broad portfolio of managed and virtualised hosting and network services that Savvis currently offers to enterprises and the public sector in Singapore.
Savvis Symphony Open will help Asian enterprises to drive data centre consolidation by reining in server sprawl, curtailing overbuying and tackling underutilisation of servers. Scalable resources will be available on-demand and with flexible business terms so enterprise clients can easily respond to seasonality and unexpected events. A client portal will allow Savvis customers to engage in self-service management and reporting. Clients can use on-demand provisioning to enjoy greater control. The various mix-and-match hosting models will allow clients to cost effectively meet application requirements.
“We are pleased to add Savvis Symphony Open cloud infrastructure to our growing portfolio of managed IT services to meet the needs of enterprises across Asia-Pacific,” said Suan Soon Cheng, Managing Director for Savvis Asia Pacific. “New and existing clients can now benefit from Savvis Symphony Open’s on-demand, dynamically scalable resources allowing them to control their IT costs and tailor their usage and set-up to meet their individual needs.”
Savvis Singapore already offers Savvis Symphony Dedicated, which allows enterprise customers to establish a dedicated cloud environment to provide baseline compute and storage resources for Web applications, such as e-commerce.
