Satyam Computer Services, a global consulting and IT services company, has opened a new facility in the port city of Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh. The new facility was inaugurated by chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.
The Vizag Centre will employ about 750 associates during its first phase. 1300 more will join before phase II is complete. These professionals will deliver a broad range of services, led by IT and business process outsourcing for customers in Asia and Europe.
“We at Satyam are delighted to benefit from the progressive economic policies in Andhra Pradesh, which have enabled us to establish this state-of-the-art facility,” said B Ramalinga Raju, chairman, Satyam.

This is Satyam"s second facility in the state after Hyderabad, which also houses the company"s corporate headquarters.
