Samsung India has announced several new initiatives to strengthen its IT peripherals business in the country this year. The company has launched three new advanced LCD monitor series in the market as well as forayed into two new product verticals – projectors and digital photo frames.
The new LCD monitor series – T Monitor, Myst Plus, and Lime – offer Total Display Solutions for customer requirements. In addition to strengthening its IT product portfolio, the company also has plans to expand its IT channel this year, including setting up of dedicated IT brand Shops.
“In keeping with the global market trends, the Indian display market too is witnessing a dramatic shift in favour of LCD monitors. Samsung aims to fuel this transition in India by continuously launching LCD monitors that offer superior design, performance and innovative features,” said Y J Lee, VP – IT Business, Samsung India.
Samsung India has also announced its foray into the digital projector market with the launch of its full HD 1080p projector – A800. The A800 is powered with DLP 1080p Film Technology with 95 percent aperture ratio and a fast response time of 16MS and has a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.
The company has also announced its entry into the digital photo frame market by announcing the launch of its 8" digital photo frame, SPF-83H in the Indian market. The digital frame comes with an internal memory of 128 Mbyte and simple functionality. Samsung plans to strengthen the range by adding its wireless network photo frame in another couple of months.
