Sabre Holdings Corporation is further strengthening its India presence by expanding its Global Solutions Centre (GSC) based in the IT Park, Bangalore. The Sabre Holdings GSC currently employs about 250 highly skilled technical staff with plans to increase employee strength to 550 in the coming years.
The company has a significant share of travel distribution and technology solutions for the global travel industry, and also offers retail travel products to millions of customers worldwide. “The accelerating growth of the Indian aviation industry coupled with the superior technology skills abundantly available in India are the key reasons for our decision to rapidly expand the Sabre facility in India,” said Vish Viswanathan, Regional Vice President, Sabre Holdings
Sabre’s India GSC provides a range of high-end technology services to a number of Sabre’s global business units, including Sabre Airlines Solutions, Sabre Travel Network, Travelocity, lastminute.com and GetThere. The Centre also offers solutions delivery support to local airlines such as Jet Airways and Kingfisher Airlines.
