Rapid7, a provider of unified vulnerability management solutions, has announced its partnership with Indusface Consulting, an India-based IT security solutions and services organisation, that will now serve as a value-added distributor (VAD) for Rapid7 NeXpose. In addition, Indusface will launch a managed security service using Rapid7 technology and experience to bring advanced vulnerability management to the Indian market, where sophisticated attacks plague Web applications, networks, databases and operating systems.
As more enterprises and SMEs experience relentless security attacks on a variety of corporate assets that hold business-critical data, they require an advanced vulnerability management solution that will enable them to stay ahead of threats. Rapid7 NeXpose, with its ability to scan the assets available, while at the same time prioritising vulnerabilities and devising clear remediation plans, will give Indusface customers the visibility into their IT infrastructure that is necessary to mitigate risk and minimise data loss.
In addition to offering Rapid7’s solution, Indusface’s new managed security service, built on Rapid7 NeXpose and harnessing the company’s vulnerability management experience, will enable organisations of all sizes to experience the same level of protection as large companies. With the new service, customers can run scans from a secure, hosted environment using a simple Web browser, reducing the need for hardware or software installation. From there, security consultants can offer analysis and guidance based on the found vulnerabilities and suggest mitigation steps.
“Indusface’s customers are similar to organisations all over the world – no matter what their size; they need the ability to locate threats, including those in Web applications and databases, and have clear next steps for eliminating those risks. Today’s technology must be able to scale to an organisation’s size and need, and Rapid7 NeXpose was developed with that goal in mind,” said Mike Tuchen, president and chief executive officer of Rapid7. “By partnering with Indusface, we’re able to offer our technology and experience to organisations in additional markets that are struggling to stay ahead of today’s sophisticated security attacks.”
